Wiz Khalifa. Discover the greatness.

ImageCameron Jibril Thomaz was born on September 8, 1987. He is better known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa. He is a professional American rapper. In 2006, he released his first full-length album entitled Show and Prove. In 2007, he signed up to Warner Bros. Records where he released two mixed tapes. In 2009, he parted ways with Warner Bros. Records because of the delay of releasing his planned debut album from the label. In 2011, he released his first studio album entitled Rolling Papers. It debuted at the second spot of the illustrious Billboard 200 chart. The same year, he was nominated and won the Best New Artist at the BET Awards. The BET awards recognize Americans in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment.

Wiz Khalifa is not just famous for his music but also for his wise and cunning words. Following are some of the most famous quotes of Mr. Khalifa about life.

“The things that we crave the most are the things that destroy us the quickest.”
Perhaps, Mr. Khalifa is referring to addiction. Addiction can come in different forms. It can be addiction in drugs, alcohol, vices, women and men, food and so on. The rule is to take everything in moderation and avoid those things that will hard our bodies and our being. If we are hungry, feed. If we like to drink wine or any alcoholic drinks do it in moderation.

“Great minds think alone.”
This quote is about being independent. There are people who function more productively when they are alone. If you are a fan of sci-fi movies, probably you have seen scenes where one great man would come up with a remarkable invention. This quote can somehow contradict the famous quote, “no man is an island”. Although it is true that man can never live alone. There are times in life when we need some time alone to think and to contemplate.

“Some people make your life better by walking into it while other people make your life better by simply walking out of it.”
This quote can refer to friends and frenemies. Friends can make our life better because they can offer comforting words and wise criticism. Frenemies are friends that can’t be trusted. They belong to the same circle of friends. They say words that bring you down. Having them walk out of your life can make life better.

“Good things come in good time.”
Be patient and never lose hope. If you are expecting something, do not force it to happen. Outcomes may not be so great if you force it. Remember that patience is a virtue. Wait for the right time and everything will come as expected.

“Being single doesn’t necessarily mean you’re available. Sometimes you have to put up a sign that says ‘Do Not Disturb’ on your heart.”
This is true. Many people think that when you are single you are available. What if you are single because the person you are seeing passed away. Dating takes time. It may be too soon to fall in love. We always have to be considerate. Confirm if that person is ready to fall in love before asking him or her out for a date.

“Sometimes we waste too much time to think about someone who doesn’t even think about us for a second.”
We often waste time thinking about someone who does not even think about us, for example a high school crush or a person you just met in the corridor. As they say, do not stress yourself with people who do not even deserve to be an issue in your life.

Wiz Khalifa’s quotes are very inspiring. It tackles every facets of man’s life. If you need a little cheering up, read quotes and be motivated.

Work hard. Play hard….

Work hard. Play hard.

Go hard, make sure you do it everyday
It’s what you gotta do
That’s your job
And n-gga’s gone hate, but that’s no prob.

Some lyrics that repeatedly runs through my mind.

Spread the PEACE brotha’

Got me badly. Aren’t you too? 🙂

a breath from the breathing

I’m lying on my parents’ living room floor with my chin on a crocheted pillow, a stomach full of caramel popcorn, and at least fourteen mosquito bites on my pudgy legs from this past Sunday at Hot Fiance’s house where we celebrated his mom’s birthday. Despite the itching and three days of spoiled-brat-part-time-jobbing this week, I think I’ll be okay. I think I can manage to smile a little more, laugh, even, at the pages and pages of journal entries I found time to peruse earlier about an overbearing boyfriend who thought he should come over right away to discuss his feelings about my Myspace conversations with Explorer earlier that year and the way I failed to mention how very close we were to being just slightly more than friends. Like, sorry, The X.

Years and years later, I’d think that was significant. And people need to know about…

Amusingz

Had dinner with my two best buds in Chicago last night and it got me thinking how friendships change over the years.

When you’re a kid it comes down to who has the best stuff. At eight years old, you could have bought my undying devotion if you would have lent me the newest Hot Wheel or picked me for baseball. As a teen, getting to ride your mini-bike was the only thing needed to cement our BFF status. Before graduating high school my coolest interaction with a guy was when Rob L. bought me beer cause I let him cheat off  me. What can I say, I needed the status and I had been letting all the pretty girls cheat off me for years-at least I got something this time. Although it was warm and sat in my trunk…never did drink it.

I wasn’t one to stay in touch…

Live young. Live forever.

“You are the best. You are the worst. You are average. Your love is a part of you. You try to give it away because you cannot bear its radiance, but you cannot separate it from yourself. To understand your fellow humans, you must understand why you give them your love. You must realize that hate is but a crime-ridden subdivision of love. You must reclaim what you never lost. You must take leave of your sanity, and yet be fully responsible for your actions.”

-Gnarls Barkley, in a letter to the legendary rock critic Lester Bangs

I guess I’m gona be back on my business.
Miss blogging so much :> Well, my exams wen’t well, guess my hard work paid off, thanks to him 🙂

“Life without pain is meaningless” saw this quote at the end part of my english exam.
This really made me think on lots of things I do.
Are my  efforts really paying off? Is it even enough for me to be able to flow with the society?
Think about it. Are you worthy of what you have?

When you’re a parent, it’s inevitable that your children will ask you a lot of questions.

“How far away is the moon?” and “Are we there yet?” and “Why does that lady look funny?” are among a few.

One of the questions every child will inevitably ask their mother or father is “What did you want to be when you were little?”

My youngest son has been prodding me about this recently because his current passion is pondering his own career choices.

For me, the answer is easy, as I had very definite ideas and passions. But I’m wondering what happened.

You see, I wanted to be a writer.

A novelist to be precise.

As you would be aware, dear reader, I am not a writer. Not of fiction or creative writing, anyway.

I kid myself that I do write because I blog frequently. And aren’t tweets carefully crafted sentences?…
